Metrazi was founded in 2022 by two brothers with diverse skillsets in GPS-based precision instrumentation and software for the test and measurement industry. Our combined experience and background enabled us to work together and develop Flare into one of the most robust and precise handheld locater devices for consumers today.
Our journey began with poor and often non-existent cell-reception at music festivals. Determined to find a solution to overcome the hurdles of locating our friends or sending simple text messages, we started on the idea of Flare. As adventurers involved in outdoor activities such as skiing, off-roading, and hiking, we realized that this problem extended far beyond festivals, and was common in our other hobbies.
